Description
How It Works
- Test them by holding the card up (the picture and word facing them).
- Give them time to say the word and try to figure out the definition.
- If they need a hand, you could tell them how it’s used in a sentence
- Keep practising – repetition is great to help them remember!
- Once they’re a bit more familiar with the words, you can talk through the synonyms, etymology (where the word comes from) or collocations (words that can be used together) with them.
All orders include a physical and a digital version of the flashcards. The digital version can be used to play revision games. Preview the game here.

Excellent picture flashcards
My both kids (10 and 8 years old) are making excellent use of the flashcards and the pictures are actually enhancing their understanding of the words.
Really pleased with these flashcards!

Perfect on 11 plus journey
The best word cards available on the market. They were done with a child in mind and not only focusing on showing the high knowledge of the author as the majority of other cards.
It is very user friendly.
Definitely worth buying.

My son found these more engaging than some of the more traditional cards. The pictures were great for recall!

I bought Set A Flashcards for my elder daughter who sat for her 11 plus last September. Have tried many flashcards but she easily forgets the meanings.
At last I saw your flashcards and bought them. She easily remembered the meanings as it comes with the picture. She passed her 11 plus successfully.

Tutor Approved!!
A great way to memorise new vocabulary. Words are well pitched for 11+ preparation.

My son learnt all the words (set A & B) in ten days and needs a simple prompt of the picture while revising, he learnt them in play, including the literal & figurative meanings and example sentences! Ongoing work on understanding context/synonyms/antonyms for those words, but he’s picking them up while watching documentaries/reading which boosts engagement.
Review from my child is – ‘Are there more flashcards? Why did this lady stop with these & not make more ?’ Also him while working on other flashcards – ‘oh these don’t have pictures, very boring, why can’t we have more of those picture ones?’
My husband and I were in for a surprise, your cards are very engaging and I hiope you take my child’s feedback seriously (i.e. publish more sets), thank you !!!

I’ve had these flashcards about a week and my daughter has already learnt well over half the words already. I’d been using some other flashcards without pictures for a while and she’d managed to learn only a handful of words. Also the book is great too!

Looking forward to your Set B. Your vocabulary courses are just so perfectly laid out and I can confidently say that my son’s vocabulary has definitely improved. Many thanks for everything.
